About Me

Shibu Das, BSc, FCA, FAIA (UK) I am the founder of Fine Advice, East India's leading Wealth Management firm. With over 25 years of experience, my passion as a wealth manager is contagious. Yes, I believe in research & analysis but I largely use my instincts. I believe that nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care. After graduating in Chemistry I realized that I had a passion for finance and chose to pursue Accountancy. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 at the age of 22 and started my independent wealth management practice. Today I lead a 32-member team with over Rs. 5 billion in assets under advice. Coming from a humble background I believe that no matter where you were born or what your financial position in life, the power to design your future is in your hands & your present position does not determine where you can go; but it is merely a starting point. Those who have the wealth and need financial advice are anyway hounded on a daily basis by the banks & large brokerage houses. To really add value, we have to be different, offer bespoke ideas & deliver personalized round-the-clock services. That’s what differentiates Fine Advice from competitors.
